How my Belgian life begun
Illi
came to me in the spring 1991, she was three months old, a real
madcap with long legs and big ears. She was not, however, a sweetheart
of a puppy because the first thing she did when she arrived new home,
she took direction to the centre of town and ran!
It became clear that she was very daring and she always wanted to have
her own way. Fortunately Illi was, ever since her puppy-days, very open
and fond of people. Therefore, as the unexperienced owner of my first
Belgian, I never had to fear how she would cope with different
situations and how her stubborness would effect every-day life.
Together we learned the elementary of training. The idea was just to
train a little, but berfore you knew, it took you all along. We brought
home some first prizes from open class tracking, transfer result to a
winner class in obedience copetition. We trained messinging just for
our own fun. And of course we participated the dog-shows with great
enthusiasm. Competitions with Illi declined gradually when I bought my
first tervueren Fin&S&Ltu Ch TC 2 Cincyn Elixir and
when I seriously started to train with Eppu.
